International Licensing

Currently, there are a total of 41 international editions of AMI magazines published and distributed in 49 countries around the world.

There are 29 foreign licensed editions and 12 wholly-owned editions of Weider titles published in markets throughout Europe, Asia, and Africa.

The 29 licensed editions are managed from American Media, Inc.’s New York Headquarters Office by AMI’s International Publishing & Licensing Group.


10 foreign editions

 Markets include:  Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Greece, Cyprus, Hungary, Poland, Singapore, Korea, Latvia, South Africa, Namibia, Angola, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Lesotho, Swaziland, Zambia, Malawi, and Tanzania.  The latest new edition just launched in Thailand in March 2006.

International SHAPE magazine brand extensions include:

  • Shape Exercises : 1 foreign edition in Russia and the CIS .
  • Shape Menu : 1 foreign edition in Russia and the CIS.

2 foreign editions

  • Markets include: the United Kingdom, Ireland, Russia and the CIS .

International Men’s Fitness magazine brand extensions include:

  • Annual "Men's Fitness Just Workouts” SIP series. Markets: the United Kingdom, Ireland


4 foreign editions
